Shopping Haul What GK 1 M Block has to offer
We were at Gk 1 M Block market yesterday for an exciting personal shopping session with our amazing client. Our client loves organic fabrics, earthy tones, simplistic designs and comfortable clothing. But for years she was restricted to styles and designs that dint necessarily work for her. She is a very simple lady and her profession needs her to be authoritative. So we tried to experiment with her wardrobe and bring in some colours.
GK 1 M Block has just so much to offer and all it takes it the eye for the right garment. And we took off on a haul. From Harpa to Lakshita to W, we found steals in every nook and cranny of the market. The street vendors satiated our need for understated but elegant jewellery. And the best part was our client experimenting, away from the usual and trying to adapt to different fabrics, which for her I am sure wasnt easy.
We thought we should first take her to HARPA . And got a beautiful printed sleeveless top for her. Initially she was not comfortable with the idea of wearing a sleeveless top but we requested her to try it for us. Once she tried what we had recommended, she agreed that her apprehensions were baseless and threw her hesitation out of the window. This top costed us Rs.899 and a priceless smile on our client’s face.
Then we thought of exploring the market. And we entered LAKSHITA for some basic colours in her wardrobe. We really wanted to get her a printed palazzo pant but alas, nothing that caught our fancy. So we got her a tomato red top, in modal cotton. This colour automatically brightened her face and our day! We had a match!
She looked youthful and fresh in it!
The next stop was AND we tried looking for dresses but due to fits issue we had to drop the idea of buying it from AND. We were about to leave the store and but a beautiful scarf caught our eye. It would complement a western and indian look equally.
Cost Rs 590
The next store on our list was “W“. It has a vast rang of kurtis, salwar and ethnic stitched salwar suits. We thought it was time to invest in a quirky statement piece. We asked her to try a black kurti with reversible white and green jacket. She looked stunning in it and was elated to see the net results. We also got a pair of earrings for her. Albeit it was very experimental for her(As she is use to wearing small silver jewellery only). We tried to give her some freshness and this garment did it for us.
Linen happens to be her first love when it comes to summer fabric. Challenge for her was to find good quality linen clothes and we gave her a solution. YELL is a brand we swear by for linen lovers. With every garment she exclaimed, “I always dreamed of owning something like this. Dint know where to find it”. We got a long dress in beige and a straight palazzo pant with less flair.
We have another session with her hope to get a lot more elements to her wardrobe. Haul 2 will come up soon.
