Delhi Street Shopping Sarojini Market
Enter the market through the police chowki and walk into the central lane. With shops on either side, hit shop number 194(right side) first. Housing surplus stock from Zara and the likes, it’s a good spot to scout around. Most jackets were in the range of Rs. 850-Rs. 950. Needless to say, one can bargain the price to bring it down to an affordable range.
The next store is to the left, shop number 105. A hub for dresses/tops/jackets, this store has the friendliest shopkeepers in the whole market. Jovial and helpful, they are sure to help you find something off beat and reasonable.
Two stores away from the Apple Store, is this small leather shop with interesting bags. From beautifully crafted satchels to duffle bags, we fell in love with the collection here.
Right before the fixed price shop, is this guy with a small kiosk, right opposite to Inner Circle. He houses some interesting sheer tops in good quality.
Shop number 185 is a fixed price shop and reasonably good. It’s a clear hit or mess with them!
Shop 116 stocked some beautiful lace skirts and we have always found a few things to ogle and buy. The finds here are to -Buy.Love-
The entire market is full of small vendors selling scarfs for Rs. 50 a piece. We spotted some rather interesting Neon colored scarfs. Now, who said styling a garment meant spending a bomb!Scarf picture
And do keep an eye out for this small stall to our right, next to JEX. We bought beautiful Forever 21 and ASOS dresses for Rs. 300. And no complains about the fit!
And here is one of our favorite(read FAVORITE). The lane parallel opposite to Big C is a myriad of fabulous finds. From dressy garments to gowns to fashion forward tops, you can find it all here.
What I would refer to the bling shop, is a place which always stores tops with sequin detailing.
And now we arrive at the notorious little inner lane, opposite prince shoe bazaar and Gopal Sons. With a array of shops lined up together, this lane has always left us stunned. Although the clothes are worth your while, the shopkeepers here don’t shy away from ticking clients away with uncouth comments. So, if you are the one with the strong heart, do explore.
And then is Shop 121. R.P.Singh owns a small shop here, selling trendy eyewear. Priced Rs.250 onwards, the quality is worth the price paid. And to top it all, our man here knows who would like what. He is very good with his recommendations and is a must visit.
As one continues down the central lane, the next stop is R.K. Garments. You will find very good quality kolhapuri (Rs. 450) and leather chappals (Rs. 200) and boots in this store.
You can find your basic wear here with Zara tags. These are essentially knock offs but then work just fine.
And then is our recommended jewelry guy. He sets up cart near Jyoti Furnishing and has a varied collection of accessories, that we love, love, love.
Now we retract our steps back to Big C and take the lane down the market. At the very end, there is another inside lane, located opposite Abrol Sons. Again, a culmination of small kiosks, here you find a variety of garments. This time around, we chanced upon a delicious leather belt. They also housed some leather boots.
After this, you will see another inside tunnel lane, just like the one near Big C. Bang next to Pahuja Sons, a place for good finds, it’s mostly stocked with beautiful lace and sheer garments. Look out for the quality of the garment before purchasing as we have found a few worn out pieces being sold confidently.
Gopal Fashion Hub has some interesting bags and tops. The jackets were for Rs. 100 a piece although they looked rather worn out.
